MOTUL 7100 10W-40 4T is a high-performance fully synthetic motorcycle engine oil with Ester technology for modern four-stroke motorcycles. It suits road and off-road bikes, engines with or without an integrated gearbox and wet or dry clutch systems. The formula is also suitable for motorcycles equipped with catalytic converters or secondary air injection.
The combination of synthetic base oil, Ester technology and anti-wear additives helps minimise internal friction, maintain a strong oil film at high temperatures and engine speeds and improve shear stability. This supports dependable protection of the engine and gearbox throughout the oil-change interval. Optimised phosphorus and sulphur content contributes to correct operation of exhaust after-treatment systems.
Applications and standards
The oil is designed for sport, road and adventure riding under severe loads. It may also be used in ATVs, UTVs, SxS vehicles, personal watercraft and snowmobiles when SAE 10W-40 is specified. JASO MA2 provides friction characteristics for reliable wet-clutch engagement, while API SP includes requirements for oxidation stability, deposit control and emissions-system compatibility.
