Toyota oils and fluids must meet the technical requirements of the specific vehicle model, engine, transmission and production year. A correctly selected oil helps reduce wear, remove heat, prevent harmful deposits and support the proper operation of important mechanical and hydraulic components.
When selecting engine oil, check the recommended viscosity, such as 0W-20, 0W-30 or 5W-30, as well as the exact specification required by the manufacturer. Two oils with the same viscosity may have different formulations and may not be suitable for the same engine, hybrid powertrain or exhaust after-treatment system.
Transmission oils and fluids also require careful selection. Manual, automatic, continuously variable and hybrid transmissions may require different products that are not interchangeable.
